APEC JAC is responsible for managing
implementation of APEC EEMRA
Brunei Darussalam through the Ministry of
Development is host to the 12th APEC Joint Advisory Committee, JAC
Meeting on Electrical/Electronic Mutual Recognition Arrangement, EEMRA.
16 APEC member economies comprising Brunei
Darussalam, Australia, Chile, People’s Republic of China, Hong Kong
China, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines,
Russia Federation, Singapore, Chinese Taipei, Thailand and Vietnam are
attending the meeting. It was held Wednesday at the Empire Hotel and
Country Club in Jerudong.
The meeting was chaired by the Director of
Spring from Singapore, Mr. Michael Ong. The Joint Advisory Committee is
responsible for managing the effective implementation of the APEC
Electrical/Electronic Mutual Recognition Arrangements, EEMRA. The 12th
JAC Meeting in Brunei Darussalam will further progress the work plan
under the JAC which is reviewing the discussion or recommendations made
at the Seminar on Understanding and Implementing the APEC EEMRA which
was held three days ago.
