King and Queen of Jordan visit State
Mufti’s Department
His Majesty King Abdullah the Second Ibni Al
Hussein, King of Jordan and Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah paid a
visit to the State Mufti’s Department in Jalan Babu Raja, Wednesday.
Their Majesties were greeted upon arrival by the State Mufti, Pehin
Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Abdul Aziz and Datin Dayang Hajah
Maznah.
Their Majesties then consented to hear a
briefing delivered by the Director of the State Mufti Department’s
Administration, Dato Paduka Awang Ahmad Bukhari. Galleries include a
Mushaf gallery, Islamic artifacts gallery, Holy Scripture manuscript
gallery, ‘tasbih’ or prayer beats and ‘tongkat’ gallery. The Islamic
Exhibition Gallery was formed to fulfill the vision of His Majesty the
Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam as a keeper of Islamic
history.
