Jordanian Queen makes visit to Sultan
Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Foundation School
In a separate programme, Her Majesty Queen
Rania Al-Abdullah made a visit to Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah
Foundation School, Wednesday. Her Majesty was accompanied by Her Royal
Highness Princess Hajah Rashidah Sa’adatul Bolkiah as
Royal-In-Attendance. Also in the royal Jordanian entourage were Her
Royal Highness Princess Basma and His Majesty’s sister, Her Royal
Highness Princess Zein.
Welcoming them was the Minister of
Communication as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Foundation,
Pehin Dato Seri Setia Haji Abu Bakar. The royal delegation was briefed
on the school’s background by the Managing Director of the Sultan Haji
Hassanal Bolkiah Foundation, Dato Paduka Haji Ali Hashim.
The Foundation’s Kindergarten opened in
February 1998. With 147 students, the kindergarten was formed with the
mission to develop individuals to their fullest based on the national
philosophy of the Malay Islamic Monarchy.
The delegation was entertained with a singing
performance from the kindergarten’s students which included His
Majesty’s grandchildren, Princess Hariisah Widadul Bolqiah and Prince
Abdul Raqib.
