Understanding values of teaching of Al-Quran
is antidote to all sicknesses
A 2 day seminar on “Understanding the Al-Quran
2008” ended Wednesday with its resolutions and a certificates
presentation to 250 participants. The seminar was organised by the
Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Tahfiz Al-Quran Institute and Development
of Islamic Teachings of the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
The seminar agreed on a resolution that
understanding the values of the teaching of the Al-Quran has its
benefits amongst them antidote to all sicknesses. In this view, Muslims
particularly the young generation should study the Al-Quran in depths to
understand its contents. The Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of
Religious Affairs, Dato Paduka Awang Haji Abdul Rahman received the
seminar’s resolutions and then presented certificates to representatives
from over 17 government departments, Higher Education Institutions and
Colleges and Mosque Youth Associations.
Tabling working papers at the Seminar was the
Chief Syar’iah Judge, Pehin Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Yahya and
an Executive Officer at the Mufti Office of the Singapore Religious
Islamic Council, MUIS, Ustaz Muhammad Fazalee bin Jaafar.
