Students are urged to form Robotech
Club in pursuing interest to modify and make robots
Students taking part in the ‘Robotech
Competition’ are urged to form a ‘Robotech Club’ at their respective
schools and to enhance and continue to pursue their interest in
modifying and making robots. The Director of Administration and
Services Department, Ministry of Education was speaking at the opening
ceremony of the ‘6th Robotech Competition for Government and
Non-Government Secondary Schools and Colleges, Vocational and Technical
Schools and Institutions of Higher Learning’.

Haji Abdul Wahab says that in the 21st century, skill in the field of
science and technology has become increasingly important and is a
competitive challenge that completes today’s needs and demands. He says
it is the era for expertise in science and technology especially the
robot technology which should be taken up by students so they will not
be left behind in the challenge. According to a study, countries where
many students are skilled in science and technology, have a high
standard of living as well as a stable economy.
This year’s competition was divided into
seven categories. Prizes were presented by the Director of the
Administration and Services Department, Ministry of Education. The
winner of each category received 400 dollars, a trophy for the school
and another trophy for the individual winner.
