Embassy of Oman holds reception marking
sultanate’s 38th National Day Anniversary
The Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman to the
country last night held a function to mark the Oman’s 38th National Day
Anniversary. It was held at the Empire Hotel and Country Club. Present
at the ceremony to represent His Majesty’s Government was the Minister
of Development, Pehin Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Abdullah.
The Ambassador of Sultanate of Oman, His
Excellency Sayyid Fakhri bin Mohamed Said Al-Said in his welcoming
remarks said the two countries enjoyed a deep and friendly cooperation
in different fields, with the objective of taking these relations
further. The Sultanate of Oman and Brunei Darussalam have kept very
friendly and cordial relations, ever since the two countries established
diplomatic relations in 1984. Twenty-two years have passed since the
sultanate opened the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Bandar Seri
Begawan and both countries have enjoying deep cooperation in different
fields especially towards closer cooperation in investment
opportunities.
