All 200 Brunei pilgrims of this Haj
season already in Mekkah or Medinah
All Brunei pilgrims who are to perform the
Haj this season are already in Mekkah Al-Mukaramah or Medinah Al-Munawwarah.
The last group of 200 pilgrims left the country aboard the 5th Haj
flight, Tuesday evening. While in the holy land, apart from performing
the Haj, the pilgrims also have the opportunity to visit several
historic places of interest.
Jabal Hud is one of the historic places that
draws the attention of not only pilgrims from Brunei Darussalam but also
those from other countries. Jabal Hud is a mountainous area that was
once the battlefield between Muslims and Kuraish infidels during the
time of Prophet Muhammad, Peace be Upon Him, 14 centuries ago. Nearly
1,200 Brunei pilgrims are performing the 5th pillar of Islam this Haj
season.
