Over 100 school children were taught
correct way of taking care of their oral health
Oral Health Care is just as important as any
other health practices especially amongst school children. In view of
this, the Dental Service Department, Ministry of Health, has organised
an oral healthcare activity for school pupils, emphasising on educating
and creating awareness on the importance of oral health care.
More than 100 pupils from four primary
schools took part in the oral health care activity. Among the approaches
was a talk on dental health including the function of the teeth and
dental care. The children also learned and practised the correct way of
brushing teeth. Besides that, they were also taken on a tour of the
Health Gallery to learn more about oral health care including the
preventive measures. The activity was held in conjunction with Oral
Health Day of the Brunei Darussalam Dental Centre as well as to mark the
official opening of the Health Promotion Centre.
