Legislative Council (LegCo)
The Legislative Council (LegCo) that hold its sitting annually in March, is a platform to discuss and address various issues which focus on the nation’s development of more advanced and competitive nation for the benefit and welfare of the general public. The Legislative Council was established in accordance to Article 23 of the Brunei Darussalam Constitution 1959
and its members were appointed according to Article 24. The Legislative Council was dissolved in 1984 and re-established in 2004.
The Council comprises of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam; His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office; cabinet ministers and three types of members: members with titles, members representing districts and members who have achieved distinction.
The appointment of the three types of members are officially to echo, represent the voices, opinions and views of the people to help in the decision-making process as a renewed larger channel platform to enhance the perspectives and ideas to help spur rapid and sustainable development of the nation prevail over social, economic and other important issues facing by the general public today.

Survey and Poll
The Government of Brunei Darussalam invites the general public to participate in a series of interactive online survey
on electoral reform to adopt paperless concept and get immediate response from the general public pertaining to various key topics for further public engagement.
This initiative provides relevant government agencies to gather, study, analyse and collect relevant information to develop policies, and to plan and run public services.

The Government of Brunei Darussalam are now more represented and evolving to keep on top of trends with a two-way channel interaction via the usage of social media for citizen engagement to drive and deliver better public services by providing up to date information and policies, providing corporate information, promoting public services in general or as a channel in promoting important news, announcement, events, consultation and many more.
This lead the government agencies to spread information more efficiently by providing more transparency and openness across all age groups of the general public by allowing them to share Facebook, Instagram or Tweets posted by the official government agencies social media with the tap of a button, and immediately share it with their family, friends and colleagues. This helps to save resources and time of the general public without having to call different agencies to figure out what’s going on by engaging with direct messages or queries and eliminate the issues of conflicting information coming from several sources.

Talian Darussalam 123
Talian Darussalam 123 is a National Call Centre for non-emergency government services in Brunei Darussalam which operates 24/7 daily, 365 days a year.
This service is being offered to the general public wishing to file complaints or inquiries, give suggestions or feedbacks and obtaining information about any services provided by the Government of Brunei Darussalam, in order to strengthen the cooperation with the general public and raise the level of performance for services offered by the government agencies.

A Ticket ID will be given once the general public contacted Talian Darussalam 123 which enables them to follow up on the progress of their complaints, inquiries, suggestion, feedback and obtaining information. As of March 2017, the total number of calls managed by Talian Darussalam 123 is more than 900,000 calls since its establishment in March 2014.

Business Support Centre
Business Support Centre
is established as part of the government’s ongoing effort to boost the business ecosystem and ease of doing business in Brunei Darussalam.
Through the Business Support Centre, government agencies and Darussalam Enterprise (DARe)
provide a convenient single point of access to give business-related assistance to the general public such as starting up a business, getting approvals for business premises, getting halal certification for food imports, and other processes needed for various business activities.
The general public may also submit their business-related issues, feedback and inquiries online through the Business Helpdesk
